Happy Tuesday!

Today's blog prompt:

Tell us about a time math came in useful outside of school. Or, think of a situation you'll use math outside of school in the future!

  1. A time math was useful outside of school was that I had to follow a budget to spend money at the mall and I had to add up the prices and see how much I had left to see if it would all work out. A situation I'll have to use math outside of school in the future is painting a house because I will need to find surface area for the house and that'll determined how much paint I would need for it.

  3. A time when math came in useful outside of school is when I took my little brother to go get ice cream. We had to make sure to stay within our budget and not spend too much money. We had to take the prices and add them together to make sure we had enough money. -Jessica S.

  4. Math came in use last week when i pre-ordered a video game called destiny. The cost of the limited addition was $99.99, but i had a best but rewards card and spent $74.24. Then later that day i found 10 dollars on the ground. So i added up how much money i lost. Kyle-R

  10. A time math was useful outside of school was when I was making muffins for a bake sale. I was doubling the recipe that I had so I had to multiply all the ingredients by two to know how much of each ingredient to add to the recipe.

  12. Math is something incorporated into almost all parts of life. I use math for prices, for things such as trajectory in sports and games. I use math while reading books to portion my reading. I use math everyday of my life, in all aspects of my life.
