It was great to see you begin to battle it out with design recipes yesterday--
and survive!
Here is your prompt for today.
What mistake did you make this week? If you were to see someone else make that same mistake, what would you tell them?
One mistake I made this week is that I didn't write the definition to a design recipe right which thankfully I learned. If I were to see someone make the same mistake, I would tell them to keep everything that's the same in all of the codes and make a variable for what's different.

Kasey Meow--- a mistake a did was missing two days because one of the days i was out i missed out in a lot but eat then (ethan) helped me get back on track.
ReplyDeleteOne mistake that I made this week was to write two examples that didn't properly show what the function was trying to do. For making a function to average two numbers, both examples included a special case. If I saw someone make the same mistake i would tell them that the examples must show regular cases of that function and i would tell them about making a good example.

DeleteI was having problems creating new contracts, I was confused as to how one could make a new contract for something such as an image through a shortened contract. If someone were to get stuck on this as I was I would suggest just following through the entire lesson. Pay attention to what is happening, you'll notice that you only need what changes, not the pieces that are the same. --Dylan M.
ReplyDeleteOne mistake I've made was not closing the example together in one parenthesis.If i were to catch someone do that i would tell them to close all of the example in a parenthesis.

DeleteOne mistake i made this week is not using the design recipe,i thought it was a waste of time and it would easier if i didn't use it. I was really wrong, It turned out that it was easier to use it, i also thought the design recipe was hard its really simple.

DeleteDraven L.- one mistake i did this week was not put a closed parenthese somewhere it was suposed to go and if i saw some one do the same thing i would tell them that the need a paranthese
ReplyDeleteA mistake I made this week was actually yesterday, while we were working with gimp, I kept messing up the outline on my photo, and a piece of my dress looked white because of the lighting in the picture and when I set the background of the picture to transparent, that piece of the dress also became transparent. If I saw someone else make the mistake with the outlining i would tell them to try and redo the outline to make it neater and more precise that way when they crop the picture nothing goes wrong. -Jessica S.
ReplyDeleteThe mistake I made this week was forgetting to put quotations around some of my strings. If I were to see someone else make the same mistake I would tell them that anything in a function that is not a operator, number, or parentheses is a string.

Well since this is my first week here I really didn't do anything wrong because i had the teachers help.

This week I have made the mistake of trying to go to fast into something. Not taking the time to do something caused me to make some of the problems seem more complicated than they actually were. For example with some of the worksheets at lunch we did yesterday. I rushed into the problems and it made the work seem more difficult than it really was. If someone else was doing this I would advise them to take their time because when you do you understand the problem a lot better and have a better chance of getting the problem correct.

i actually did a lot wrong during this week :P like, first i always forgot something, then asked why i didnt do it right, then i noticed, i spelt something wrong and then i felt like an idiot lol, or i forgot to put a simple thing like this --> ", or this ) >.> but now i know to check before i hit enter :P
